About our Japanese Evening

 

Our menu for this evening focuses on seasonal ingredients and the fresh, clean flavours of Japanese cuisine, with fish, chicken, pickles and vegetables taking centre stage. Dinner will be served in our comfortable and relaxed bistro, and to round off the evening we shall be showing the multi award-winning film, Lost in Translation which is set in Tokyo. 

The Film:  Lost In Translation.An Ageing American Film Star (Bill Murray) And A Neglected Young Wife Accompanying Her Husband On A Business Trip (Scarlett Johansson) Meet In A Tokyo Hotel, And Form An Unlikely Bond. Beautifully Directed By Sofia Coppola, This Film Has A Reflective Quality And Realism, With Moments Of Both Comedy And Tenderness.

Halloween Evening

About Our Halloween Evening

 

This year we wanted to embrace the Halloween and harvest season, so our Head Chef has created a tasty Autumnal supper which will be served in our cosy and atmospheric bistro.  During the evening we shall also be showing Bram Stoker’s Dracula!  A suitably ghoulish cocktail will be available from our licenced bar, together with a range of wines, cider and beer!

The Film: Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992 2 hrs 3mins)
This is Francis Ford Coppola’s version of the gothic horror – A stylish and lavish interpretation with Gary Oldman as Dracula and some excellent performances from Anthony Hopkins, Winona Ryder and Richard E Grant.  A great Halloween evening guaranteed!

Moroccan Evening

About Our Moroccan Evening

 

Join us in our relaxed and cosy bistro for a celebration of Moroccan cuisine with the emphasis on fresh ingredients prepared with North African mild but fragrant spices … flavours which captivate and intrigue the palate!  

Following dinner there will be a showing of the iconic movie, Casablanca.

The Film:

Casablanca: During WWII, Rick, a nightclub owner in Casablanca, agrees to help his former lover Ilsa and her husband. Soon, Ilsa’s feelings for Rick resurface and she finds herself renewing her love for him.
