Parisian Jazz Night 4th September
As Part Of Our Festival Of Scent We Are Hosting A Joyful Jazz Weekend To Bring A Bit Of Parisian Nightlife To Dorset! Two Nights Of Live Music, Great French Food, Fine Wine And Themed Film – Each Night With A Slightly Different Flavour.
The films will be shown outdoors, weather permitting, with comfortable seating, fire pits, lanterns and candles adding to the ambience. Our licensed bar will be available throughout the evening, serving French red, rose and white wines plus champagne, beer and after-dinner coffees.
Music from Les Tzigauners – Lively Parisian swing jazz from the 30’s & 40’s with numbers by Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli and their contemporaries.
The Film: Chocolat
Chocolat Is A Perennial Favourite. When Vianne (Juliette Binoche) Arrives With Her Young Daughter In A Small, Traditional Village In Rural France, She Causes Quite A Stir. But It Isn’t Long Before She Wins Over The Hearts Of The Local Inhabitants With Her Charm – And Of Course Her Wonderful Confectionery. A Gentle Comedy Romance Featuring Judi Dench, And A Young Johnny Depp.
